VT - 046 – ANDES HIGHLANDS OF ECUADOR AND PERU

14 days, to know the most beautiful places of South America, and also you can visit wonderful cities in Ecuador and Peru.

DAY 01 : QUITO.
Arrive in Quito and transfer to the Hotel. Lodging.

DAY 02 : QUITO.
Breakfast. We will visit the modern and historical center of Quito, which was declared as Cultural Heritage Mankind. Then we will visit the Middle of the World, where you will be at latitude 0 °00° 00°. In the afternoon we will make a shopping tour. Return to the hotel. Lodging

DAY 03 : QUITO – OTAVALO - QUITO.
We will travel to Otavalo’s market, the most famous in South America. After that we will visit Cotacachi known as the capital of the leather, San Antonio city, and San Pablo lake. Return to Quito city and Lodge in the Hotel .

DAY 04 : QUITO - RIOBAMBA.
We will travel to Riobamba. During the trip we can enjoy the view of many mountains, such as: Cotopaxi, Antisana, Tungurahua and Chimborazo. Also we will visit Latacunga city, and after that we will travel to Riobamba. Lodging.

DAY 05 : RIOBAMBA - CUENCA.
Early we will depart to Alausí, going through Palmyra desert. We will go by train to Alausí–Huigra and travel to the famous DEVIL’S NOSE (departure on Wed, Fri, Sun). Then we will take the transport to continue to “Ingapirca Ruins” and than we will arrive to Cuenca. Lodging.

DAY 06 : CUENCA.
We will have breakfast and visit Cuenca, it is a beautiful colonial city declared by UNESCO Cultural Heritage city, also we will visit the surroundings. We will visit a place where we can see how Panamas hats are manufactured. Lodging.

DAY 07 : CUENCA - GUAYAQUIL.
Departure to Guayaquil. We will enjoy the beautiful weather of the coast and also we can visit the principal monuments of the city. Lodging.

DAY 08 : GUAYAQUIL.
There will be a free time until the transfer to the airport. Departure to Lima. Arrive to Lima.

DAY 09 : LIMA - CITY TOUR.
Breakfast, and a visit to the colonial and the modern part of Lima , and the most important attractions of this city such as the Weapons Square, Government Palace, the Municipality, the Justice Palace and many residential neighborhoods, we will also make a tour to the beaches in the Green Coast of the Pacific Ocean. Lodging.

DAY 10 : LIMA - CUZCO.
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to fly to Cuzco city (IT DOESN’T INCLUDE AIR TICKET LIMA / CUZCO). Transfer to the hotel, we will drink “mate of coca” to acclimatize to the height. In the afternoon we will visit the city, the Korikancha temple, the Cathedral, the Stone of the 12 angles, and the four ruins Kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay, and Sacsayhuaman. We will return to the hotel. Lodging.

DAY 11 : CUZCO - MACHU PICCHU.
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer to the train to depart to Machu Picchu, After 3 hours and 30 minutes we will arrive to the town of Machu Picchu (Ex – Aguas Calientes) in this place we will take the bus to go to the Machu Piccchu ruins, which are built in the top of the mountain, that dominates the deep canyon of Urubamba river, Machu Picchu was built like an astronomical and religious center, it also was a private property of the Inca’s Pachacutec family. We will appreciate the different places of this ruins, such as: the agricultural and religious sectors, also we will visit the Intiwatana. It includes lunch in the Toto's Restaurant which is located in Machu Picchu. In the afternoon we will travel by train to return to Cuzco. Transfer to the Hotel. Lodging.

DAY 12 : CUZCO - LIMA.
Breakfast, Transfer to fly to Lima, (TICKET TO CUZCO NOT INCLUDED / LIMA). We will arrive and transfer to the hotel. Lodging.

DAY 13 : LIMA.
Breakfast and Transfer to the airport to fly home.
